Adalvik Cove

Near Hornstrandir is and inlet of Isafjordur Bay known as Adalvik Cove. It is surrounded by spectacular mountains on all sides, with low-lying areas at the end where a village was occupied around 100 years ago as a fishing centre. Today the houses are still used as remote summer residences. This valley is fairly remote and hard to reach, although boat trips will often visit.
