Aedey Island is located in Isafjordur, part of the Westfjords in north west Iceland. It is the largest island in this fjord, stretching over a mile long an half a mile wide. The island is inhabited primarily by puffins and other wildlife, and a rich variety of fauna. This has helped sustain a human population for centuries, with a farm and other houses on the island. Sheep are also kept on the island. Visits are possible by boat trips from nearby towns.
