Alfasteinn is a small gallery in the centre of Reykjavik. The gallery displays pieces made from Icelandic material - natural stones and pieces of lava. Other items on display include silverwork which is made into Icelandic flowers and pieces of jewellery. Most of the pieces on display are also for sale which gives the opportunity to buy a souvenir made from a piece of Iceland. There is no pressure to buy items though, and visitors are welcome simply to browse
