Arnarstapi is a small village on the southern side of the Snaefellsnes peninsula in western Iceland. It sits in the shadow of Mount Snaefellsjokull. Arnarstapi has a tiny harbour which is still used for fishing vessels, as well as a few colourful houses. It is an ideal location for admiring the views over the sea and volcano. It is also a bird watching haven, due to the large number of sea birds which nest here. Various walks project from the village along the coast and inland towards the volcano.
