Despite the size of the modern church in Blonduos, the old structure still stands also. It was built in 1894 and is of a wooden construction with a bell tower and spire. Locals want the building preserved to keep the memory of old Blonduos alive. It dates from the time the town was blossoming, and allowed people to worship without travelling afar. It is rarely possible to get inside the old church today, but it can be seen easily in the centre of Blonduos.
