Botn Valley is located fairly close to Isafjordur in the north west of Iceland. Very few people visit here due to its remoteness, yet it is a beautiful valley at the end of Sugandi Bay. Inhabited only by a farm, Botn was once a hotbed of mining activity as recently as the Second World War. Luckily it is easier to reach today, since a road tunnel now connects the valley through the mountains. Once in Botn, there are plentiful walking opportunities, and even a scenic waterfall to see.
