Brydebúđ is an old house in Vík. It was built in 1831 in Vestmanneyjar as a shop, and transferred here by ship in 1895. Today it houses the town’s Tourist Information Office, a café, shop and a small museum. The museum has displays on fishing and local history of the town, and information on the Katla volcano. There is an entrance fee to the museum, and it is only open during the summer months.
