Bulandshofdi is a headland close to the village of Olafsvik in western Iceland. It has become an important location for finding fossilized sea shells from the Ice Age. Bulandshofdi, and the neighbouring headland, were once regarded as treacherous and slippery routes to the remote village. Today, however, a tunnel has been built through them, allowing easier road access. The headlands are a haven for birds, and they command excellent views over the sea.
