The Byggđasafu museum is the principal attraction in the small town of Reykir in north western Iceland. This is a folk museum featuring exhibitions of local interest, such as witchcraft and black magic stories and artefacts, items from agricultural use through the ages, and examples of household items from this part of Iceland. The main attraction of the museum is the Ofeigur shark-fishing boat built in 1875, and used locally. The museum has an entrance fee, and is only open in the summer months.
