The Egill Ólaffson Folk Museum can be found at the small village of Hnjótur on the Látrabjarg Peninsula in western Iceland. Its remote location allows plenty of space for the diverse collection of items, which include old aircraft, fishing boats and other equipment. In addition to this, there are displays on the history of the area. A circle of standing stones has been erected behind the museum in honour of fishermen lost at sea around this peninsula.
