Close to the Blue Lagoon is the Eldborg power plant. The plant is open to the public and is an excellet way to explore the earth’s geothermal and volcanic activities. The exhibition shows pictures and gives information on the local and general geology of Iceland. There are many video films to watch and computer graphics on display, and the centre has a small theatre with surround sound to show educational films. The plant is excellent for anyone wanting to know more about the use of geothermal energy for heating in Iceland
