One of the best horse farms in Iceland is Eldhestar. It is located a little to the east of Hveragerđi. The farm is well-frequented by tourists, but not overrun. It caters for all experience levels, and offers riding treks of varying distances. There are even tours which last more than a day which take you into the interior of the country. A trek on an Icelandic horse is a must for visiting Iceland.
