The principal attraction in Holmavik is its curious Exhibition of Witchcraft and Sorcery museum. Considering the location and the gruesome history in parts of the Westfjords, the museum is actually a relevant exhibition of what happened to many men and women who were burnt at the stake in the 17th century for their supposedly occult practices. The museum tells the story of 17 famous burnings, and has displays of items to do with their practices. You can even visit one of the former houses of the accused nearby. The exhibition is open from June to September.
