The Eyrbyggja Heritage Centre is the main attraction in the small isolated fishing town of Grundarfjordur. It is a centre dedicated to communication and serving visitors to the town, with an internet café, a small cinema and a tourist information office. In addition to this, it houses a small local history museum showcasing rural life in Iceland since 1900. There is an admission fee to the museum and for use of some of the services.
