Fossin Faxi, or Faxi Waterfall, could easily be missed. Luckily many tour buses travelling between Reykjavik and Geysir will stop here if they have time. The waterfall is very wide and not very high, situated on the River Tungufljot. It discharges water from glaciers and many streams south towards the sea. Just above the falls is an ancient fording point. Fishing is good here, and the view from the parking area is excellent, being elevated above the waterfall.
