Fjardara Waterfalls

The river Flajdara, which runs through Seydisfjordur in eastern Iceland, features 36 beautiful waterfalls along a fairly short stretch just inland from the town. Each is a different size and shape, and they are all set in pleasant surroundings. The tallest of the waterfalls is 600m high. A walkway runs alongside the river from the town, so this makes a wonderful day out in fine weather. It is also a fantastic river for fishing, however a license must be obtained from the town petrol station.
