Fljótstunga is an area of moorland in the west of Iceland, 63km from the nearest town, Borgarnes. There is a guest-house and the area is popular with tourists who come to horse-ride, walk, explore the caves nearby and relax in the peaceful Icelandic countryside. At certain times of year there is also the opportunity to go on skidoo tours and fish in one of several local lakes. The area also has a swimming pool at Húsafell and a golf course.
