Friðbjarnarhús is an old house which is now a museum in Akureyri, northern Iceland. It is commonly known as the Abstinence Museum, or Good Templars’ Museum. Here, the work of the Good Templars, and the history of abstinence is explained through a number of exhibitions. The building dates from 1856 and was formerly the home of Friðbjörn Steinsson. The museum is generally only open in July and August.
