Gamla búð is the name of the Folk museum in Höfn. It is housed in a lovely old building, the oldest house in Höfn. This house originally was a shop called í Papós in Lón, in the year 1864. The shop moved locations in 1897. The museum gives a good overview of life in Eastern Icelandic history, with exhibitions of old tools and other old household items used in the village in past centuries.
