One of the main attractions in Hveragerđi is the Geothermal Fields. You can’t avoid them if you head to the centre of town since they take up much of the area. The fields contain numerous bubbling pools and hot springs, and plenty of sulphur! The area is open to the public and has a number of informative displays and areas to explore. In addition to this there are stories for the kids, and a café which sells eggs that you can boil in the springs! Open summer only.
