Gerpir is the easternmost point in Iceland. It is situated close to the fishing town of Eskifjörður in East Iceland, and visitors to the town often enjoy the hike to the coast to Iceland’s most eastern point. The walk to Gerpir is fairly easy and on arrival offers spectacular views out to sea and of the surrounding cliffs and mountains. Gerpir is also on the route of many hiking trails in the area and is easy to include in walks in the local area.
