Hellnar is home to the Gestastofa National Park Visitor Centre for the Snaefellsnes National Park in Iceland. This is the central hub for information on the park, including all the latest literature on tours, places to visit, outdoor activities, weather conditions and places to stay. The centre also has information on the history of the peninsula and the park, the wildlife you’ll se and the geology of the area. It’s free to enter the centre, however it is only open in the height of summer.
