Grimsey is an island off the north coast of Iceland. It is situated 41km from the mainland, and is the only part of Iceland which is inside the Arctic Circle. Grimsey features tall cliffs, a multitude of bird life and the chance for some hiking. It is possible to fly to Grimsey, or to take a boat. Many tourists come here to experience the remoteness, bird life, and the Midnight Sun in the middle of winter. A community still live here, which survives on fishing. There are a number of guesthouses on the island.
