Grundarfjordur is an isolated town near Stykkisholmur in western Iceland. It is a fishing community with no main sights other than a small museum. However, its setting is spectacular in a small bay with the backdrop of mountains and sea. There are a couple of options for sleeping and eating in the town, and tourists are quite common in summer with a number of outdoor pursuits options around the town.
