A wonderful spot for bird-watchers, Hafnaberg is a low, sheer cliff south of the fishing town of Hafnir, in Reykjanes. The surrounding area is popular with walkers who enjoy the natural Iceland coastal scenery, and the cliff itself is an excellent place to watch birds. Species commonly found on the cliff include guillemots, kittiwakes, fulmars and razorbills, although many other species can also be seen. The cliff is a 30-40 minute walk from a signposted car park off the main road heading south out of Hafnir. Occasionally whales can be spotted feeding off the coast from the cliff.
