Helgi the Lean is a statue on the hillside north of Klapparstigur in Akureyri. Helga the Lean was the first settler to this part of Iceland, and so the local population honoured him here. To reach the statue, it is a short walk from the centre of town. There is a view at the top towards the town, and a lookout point. There is no charge to visit the statue.
