Hildarfjall is a hill on the northern shore of Lake Myvatn, close to the town of Reykjahlid in northern Iceland. It is an easy climb along a marked trail to the summit, which is 771 metres high. The hill is made of rhyolite, and was formed when this area was a highly active volcanic region. It will take a day to do justice to the trip to the top, especially if hiking from Reykjahlid. From the top you have views over the lake, and the Krafla lava fields.
