Holaholar is a collection of craters on the south western side of Snaefells Peninsula in western Iceland. They’re easy to reach from the main road which runs nearby. The craters are worth exploring, forming a natural amphitheatre in the landscape and seeming miles away from civilisation. A farmstead was located here until the 19th century, but is now long gone. Watch out for the elves, who are reputed to live here!
