Hólmatindur is a large mountain which is situated close to the town of Reyðarfjörður, between Reyðarfjörður and Eskifjörður. The mountain reaches a height of 985 meters and is thought to be one of the best mountains for hikers to climb in the area. On reaching the summit hikers can record their moment of glory in the mountain guest book, as Hólmatindur is one of five mountains in Iceland that keep a book of walkers names at the peak. From the top there are stunning views.
