A ski lift operates from Skardsdalur, near Siglufjordur. This services the ski runs in winter, however during the summer hikers can take the lift to the top of the mountain and enjoy panoramic views over the fjord and surrounding countryside. A hiking trail leads through the valley of Hedinsfjordur back to the town below. A fee is charged to use the lift.
