Hrútárfoss is a stunning waterfall in beautiful natural Icelandic countryside located just to the north of the bay of Fáskrúðsfjörður. The waterfall is approximately a one hour walk from its nearest farm, Dalir. The walk is well worth it and shows off some of Iceland’s attractive natural scenery. The waterfall itself is also interesting as visitors can safely walk behind the waterfall and hear the sound of the water cascading around them. The waterfall used to be a meeting place for the local people near Fáskrúðsfjörður.
