Safnahusid a Husavik is the Husavik Museum, located in the centre of the town. It is the main museum of the area, covering local history and the history of Husavik, natural history of the region, a maritime collection, and folk history exhibits. This museum is excellent and jam-packed of interesting exhibits and information. The maritime section has a number of preserved fishing boats, whilst the natural history section has all manner of stuffed animals on show. The museum also houses a Bible printed in 1584. Safnahusid a Husavik is open year-round.
