Since Husavik is dubbed the whale-watching capital of Iceland, it’s only natural that a museum in the town be dedicated to the fascinating creatures. The Husavik Whale Museum covers all aspects of the creatures, including all different varieties, and the ones you’ll see off the coast of Iceland. It looks at their habits, environments, conservation, and the history of whaling here in Iceland. There are films showing whale migration, and an exhibition about the star of Free Willy. The museum is open from May to September and has an entrance fee.
