Husavik is a lovely town built around a harbour in northern Iceland. It is the place to go to join a whale-watching trip, as many tours and companies take thousands of tourists from here every year. The town has many lovely, colourful houses and buildings. It has shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and hotels. There are also a number of attractions within the town. Many tourists visiting the region choose Husavik as a base from which to explore this part of Iceland. There is a useful Information Centre on Gardarsbraut.
