Husavikurkirkja is a church in central Husavik which was opened in 1907. It is a red and white timber church and quite unusual in its appearance, yet conforming to a cruciform shape. Inside you will find a carved font, 17th century fittings, and a wonderful altar with a scene showing the resurrection of Lazarus. The church is still used as a place of worship by the local population and is welcoming to visitors.
