Húsiđ is one of the oldest houses in Iceland. It can be found in Eyrarbakki, and was built in 1765 for use in the trade industry by the Danish. It has been lovingly restored and kept in good condition, and today houses the Árnessýsla Folk Museum. Visitors can come here to learn about the history of this building, and the town of Eyrarbakki itself. It has original furnishings, galleries of local artists, and an impressive bird egg collection. It is open most of the year.
