Hvannagil Innra Gorge

Hvannagil Innra is a gorge near the village of Bakkagerdi in Iceland. It should not be missed when in the area – particularly if you enjoy walking. The gorge is easily reached via the Njardvikur road to the north of the village. The gorge is a lovely colour, and surrounded on either side by rhyolite and basaltic rocks. The walk here is not challenging and can be attempted by inexperienced walkers.
