Kopasker is a small village and former trading post on the northeast coast of Iceland. It is in a sparsely populated area, but Kopasker is a good place to stay or grab to refreshment and food whilst passing through. Kopasker sits on the shore of Oxarfjordur, a scenic fjord. The town has a hostel, camp site, places to eat, and a church. There is also a folk museum and library here. The town today survives on agriculture and fishing.
