Landmannalaugar is the most popular part of the Fjallabak Nature Reserve in southern Iceland. It is served by buses from Reykjavik and other major towns during the summer months. You will find a rangers hut here, with information on what to see and where the hiking trails are, as well as current conditions. Landmannalaugar is Iceland’s largest geothermal field, so there is a wealth of things to see here, from hot springs to fascinating lava fields of brilliant colours. If you love the outdoors, spend a few days here exploring the landscapes and trails. There is a hostel and camp site here.
