Djúpivogur is a charming fishing village in East Iceland. One of its attractions is Langa-Búð, the oldest house in Djúpivogur. The house dates from 1790, and is built from logs. The house has been updated and restored and is now used as the cultural centre for Djúpivogur, containing sculptures by Ríkarður Jónsson, the Folk Museum for Djúpivogur and a room dedicated to a late government minister. It is also used as a tourist information centre and coffee house for visitors to relax and learn about the village.
