Laufas is a manor farm, church and vicarage site near Grenivik and Akureyri in northern Iceland. It was built in the 19th century and has a wonderful location on the edge of Eyjafjordur. Originally up to 30 people lived here. Today the complex has been perfectly preserved, and is open as a museum. Inside the houses you will find original furnishings and household items, as well as all manner of agricultural equipment. The Church of St. Peter is open to visit also. On the site you will find a café and shop. Laufas is open from June to September.
