Málmey is an island in Skagafjordur in northern Iceland. It is a haven for nesting sea birds, along with its neighbour Drangey Island, with thousands in residence at any given time. The island is 2.5 square kilometres in size, and was once inhabited. I has a lighthouse built into the hold church. Today it is uninhabited, but can be reached by special tours. These operate from a farm just north of Saudarkrokur during the summer months, and take in all of the bird life and nature of the island.
