Reykjahlid is home to a steam baths complex similar to the Blue Lagoon near Reykjavik. This is the best example in the north of Iceland. It features pools full of mineral-rich waters, naturally heated by the earth. In addition, there are hot pots, steam baths and other relaxation areas in the complex. You could easily spend half a day here, either relaxing or treating ailments. The Mvatn Baths have a café, safe lockers and are very clean. They are open all year and have admission fees.
