The National Film Archive of Iceland is a public institution serving the people of Iceland. It collects, documents and displays pieces relating to the Icelandic film history. Exhibits include original film, scripts, stills and other related memorabilia of the film industry. The National Film archive also aims to preserve Icelandic film and other film related material. The museum also shows films twice a week, and researches film and film culture. It also publishes studies this field.
