Nupsstadur is a remote farm and church site alongside the endless Sandar region of southern Iceland. The site dates back to 1200, although the current buildings were built in the 19th century and renovated in 1957. This is an example of classic Icelandic architecture, with a turf-roofed farmhouse, and small wooden church. Tours of this region often take in Nupsstadur and the neighbouring Nupsstadarskogar forest.
