The Pearl Gallery on Hrísey is also the main visitors’ centre on the island. From here you can pick up information leaflets and advice on what to see on the island, and also arrange accommodation. The gallery is an old shop, and often has works of art and crafts on display and for sale. It can be found in the heart of the town. Beware, however, that the shop and visitors centre are only open from June to August.
