The Regnboginn Cinema in Reykjavik opened in 1980 and was, when it opened, the first cinema in Iceland with more than one screen. It is located in the city centre, within easy walking distance of the main shopping and commercial districts. Regnboginn recently reduced the number of seats available in each picture hall, and now offers more spacious seating to promote guest comfort. During this refurbishment new digital sound systems were installed to guarantee excellent quality of sound.
