Sögusetriđ, or the Saga Centre, in Hvolsvöllur is, as the name suggests, an information centre about the Njįl Saga, which took place in the nearby hills around the town. The centre is fairly basic, but covers all of the major events and players over a number of information boards and displays. English and German text is provided to cater for visitors. The Saga Centre has an entrance fee, and is only open between May and September.
