The main sight on the Saltfisksetur Íslands is the Saltfish Museum. It is a thorough collection and description of the local fish-salting industry which dates back many years and has sustained the local population, and indeed that of Iceland. Visitors can use audio guides in English, French and German which take you round the various displays showing how the process works. There is an entrance fee to the museum. You will also find a small tourist information office in the museum. Open every day.
