Skógafoss is a large waterfall near Skógar in southern Iceland. It falls 62 metres over a rocky cliff and is a beautiful sight. Visitors are permitted to climb a special set of stairs alongside the falls for better views in amongst the mist. Alternatively, a footpath leads to the base of the falls, again amongst the mist. In winter the scene is very different, with frozen water and icicles hanging. Skógafoss is reachable by car from Skógar.
